What you'll learn
You love fascinating characters, emotional intensity, the red colour and the melodrama genre? Come and improvise in the inspiring world of Pedro Almodóvar! After brainstorming on our essential ingredients for this delicious spanish recipe, we will create scenes with passionate characters, their suffering and their joy; while playing with the timeline and narrative tools which can magnify our improvised stories (flashbacks, monologues). And last but not least, we will unveil secrets, generate drama and love with pasión...
If you want to dive in Pedro Almodóvar’s genre before class, go watch ""All about my mother"", ""Volver"" & ""Pain and glory"". Enjoy the ride!"
About the teacher
"Peggy is the Artistic Director of La compagnie qui pétille in which she creates and performs fun, touching and sometimes political shows, like “Rouge”. Born in the French Alps, she landed in Belgium in 2002 to graduate in human rights law. While working for NGOs, she discovered theatre, cinema script-writing, radio and finally IMPROV! Love at first sight led her to change career, get trained at the Kleine Academie (Jacques Lecoq performing arts’ school in Belgium), and become a professional actress in 2014.
She loves to travel, perform and teach improv all around Europe, for theatre groups and festivals like La Semaine De l’Impro (Nancy), Impulsez (Toulouse), BIM (Lausanne), le Wonder (Paris). She is also part of the ImproBubble cast in “Matryoshka” and “Scenes from a Marriage”. Peggy loves to share emotions, thoughts, laughs and, last but not least, she loves cats!"
