4 week online course

Good listening skills is one of the improv fundamentals, but that means so much more than paying attention to what is said. It is in everything we don't say just as much as everything we do; but often, when we are in scenes, deep listening and connection with our partner is the first thing to go right out the window.
The stress of being onstage gets to us we go in our heads and we either try to overcompensate by adding more, or miss the offers our partners make.
In this three week course suitable for beginner and experienced improvisers alike, we will focus on exercises that will help slow us down, stay in the moment, connected to our improv partners. Yes! Even though we are online! Especially because we are online.
What you’ll learn
Engaging with your partner
Focusing on the scene
Getting into the best pace for the scene
Who this is for
This is a short course we’re running in place of our normal courses, during the December lockdown. Our normal courses will resume where they left off, as soon as we’re able.
This course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced improvisers.
About the teacher
Rozana Radu
Rozana is a mother, an actress and an improviser. She started improvisation 12 years ago in Bucharest creating Improvisneyland, the longest-serving impro group in Romania, alongside 6 other improvisers. They were the first Romanian improvisers to ever perform at the Second City and Impro Amsterdam.
She has done theater, cinema, television, ballet, aerobics, fencing, ballroom dancing, and she would love to learn capoeira. Aside from improv, traveling with her baby girl and husband are among her most enriching and therapeutic moments.
Kelly Agathos
Kelly is the founder and artistic director of ImproBubble. Though steeped in theatre from a very young age, Kelly first discovered improvised theatre in 2010. It was love at first sight though, and slowly, scripted theatre started taking second place to make room for more and more improvisation...
In 2012, Kelly co-founded ATC Improv and The Ghost Sheep, the pioneers of anglophone improvisation in Brussels. In 2017 she created ImproBubble, in order to deepen and broaden the range of improv opportunities for all levels, and to give improv lovers a home of their own in the heart of Brussels. The only thing Kelly loves more than improv is cats. True story.
