3 week online course
There are so many ways to say or do something. Raymond Queneau gave a good example of that, with his book "Exercise in Style", from which this course was inspired from. The denotations of the words we use are barely enough to point out the unique and special qualities of the characters we want to present to the audience.
But the connotations and the body language that humans use to communicate, are tools that can upgrade our improv and improve our characters, making them and the information they give, more accurate and engaging. Small changes in our vocabulary and syntax can give a different meaning to our character's lines, providing to the audience, our partners and ourselves, a better understanding of who this character is and what their goals are.
In this 4 week course we will explore exactly that, using movies, poetry and things we love! Be prepared for some mind melding exercises and games!

Who this is for
This is one of our Bubbles. These courses are intended for improvisers who already have an understanding of the basics, perhaps (but not necessarily) though our own Starting Steps courses. If you’re wondering which course is right for you, then feel free to email us.
This particular course’s focus is a must for improvisers of any experience level other than complete beginners, as it relates to one of the most crucial areas for improvisers’ growth and one that is often overlooked or forgotten about.
